Cardcaptor Sakura- Manga Review

Cardcaptor Sakura has to be the best known of CLAMP and probably one of the most well known Magical Girl anime. The series was dubbed(and cut from 70 eps to 39) in America and shown on kids WB. I never seen the anime(may review that someday) but today we will review the manga series.

The Plot

Sakura is a 4th grader who ends up being a Cardcaptor due to the fact she opened the book containing the Clow Cards(like tarot cards with magical powers) and they were all missing from the book. All that was inside the book was Kero(Cerberus) who is the seal of the book. Kero tells Sakura since she can open the book she must process great magical power and she may be able to capture the Clow Cards. It is now up to Sakura to capture the Clow Cards and master them to prevent them from causing disasters in the world.

My Review

Cardcaptor Sakura is a great series of a girl who is chosen to gather all the magic cards stop them from causing dangerous situations and then she also has to master them all. Sakura herself is a sweet girl who cares for others and finds out the difference between liking someone as a family and truly loving someone. If you like the coming of age stories or magical girls or even simply a good fantasy, check out Cardcaptor Sakura.
