Cheesy Italian Noodle Bake From Ramen Noodle Recipes- Recipe Review

You may not see Cathy Mitchell's face, but she did create a Ramen noodle recipe book. This is a version of that book without any mention of her but again she basically created this book(it is also from the same publisher). The book contains recipes all involving ramen noodles some strange some just pasta recipes using ramen noodles, instead, of normal noodles.

Today's recipe is called Cheesy Italian Noodle Bake and the main picture on the front cover is what it is supposed to look like. You can find this recipe in the Dinner Winners section on page 56. I made the recipe best I could though I did not put in any peppers because I don't like them. The remaining ingredients are:

4 packages of ramen noodles

1 pound of sweet Italian Sausage, casings removed (I got mild I didn't find any stating sweet)

2 teaspoons of olive oil

1 cup of diced onions

1 cup diced red bell pepper(again I did not put this in)

1 teaspoon of minced garlic

1 can of tomato sauce

1/2 cup of thinly sliced basil (I did not feel like cutting up leaves so I got dried basil leaves)

1 package of shredded mozzarella cheese

Yes, that is a lot of cheese, but I love cheese, so I didn't mind putting the whole 2 cup package in there. After using 2 skillets for different things, a big pot, and a big mixing bowl(this recipe is not for tiny apt kitchens like mine, but I made it work) I baked it in the oven for the required time, and it came out like this:

The taste was like a cheesy spaghetti sausage casserole. I enjoyed it of course that is hardly surprising since I love Italian food. I should mention this might be better for a family meal as this recipe makes so much food that I'll likely be stuck with the leftovers for over a week(it makes 8-10 servings, and it doesn't joke about that). If you like Italian food, ramen noodles and experimenting with a slightly strange cookbook then check out this recipe and cookbook. Let me know if you have any recipe requests for what to make and experiment with next!
