Nausicaa of the Valley of the Wind- Manga Review

This is the only manga created by Hayao Miyazaki released in the US. It is probably the most famous as it is what became to be his second animated film. I finally got the box set to read this properly and can't wait to see his work in manga.

Plot

A thousand years have passed since the 7 days of Fire, an war that destroyed civilization and created an toxic jungle. Nausicaa who is the 16yo princess of the Valley of the Wind wishes to find a way for humans co exist with the Ohm(armored giant insects) and the toxic jungle.

Review

The movie that was made based off this book is only in the first half of the story. The story goes on far beyond it, but it doesn't get boring it keeps building to this great secret of the world. There are more characters, lands and insects to see in the manga. I loved this from start to finish, it is not the greatest manga ever, but I'm proud to have it in my collection. If you ever wanted to know the full story, then let this series take you through the skies.
