Skipping Christmas By John Grisham- Book Review

Why not read a book about skipping Christmas after Christmas? I'm sure everyone knows Christmas with the Kranks movie, this is the book that movie was based on. I found this at a thrift store so no big loss if this one isn't a masterpiece.

Plot

Imagine a year where there is no Christmas no shopping frenzy or dealing with the family you don't care to see. Nora and Luther Krank set out to skip Christmas just one year to go on a cruise. Unfortunately, it won't be as easy as they imagine escaping this major Holiday.

Review

The book is more serious and not as slapsticky, but it does keep the cult vibe of the neighborhood. I hope I never live in a place where I'm shamed if I don't decorate for the holidays. I also can't imagine spending the kind of money they do on Christmas every year(over $6,000), but then I never made enough to justify spending that. If you want a Christmas book on living in a cult neighborhood, stalking, and then somehow it has a "happy" ending give it a read.
