The Enchanter Heir By Cinda Chima- Book Review

After reading The Dragon Heir, I have no idea where the series will go from here. After reading the plot summary, I have to assume it will likely be a time skip. As we are now back to introducing new characters. Will these new characters stack up to Jack, Ellen, Seph, Jason and Madison?

The Plot

They called it Thorn Hill Massacre, where many members of the Weir community were killed. Jonah survived the attack but not unscathed. Now, at 17 Jonah is an assassin for Nightshade, whose target is the undead.

Emma Greenwood grew up in a distant hometown, where her grandfather taught her music, not magic. Her life changes suddenly when her Grandpa is dying with a note that connects her to Jonah and she is in danger. What secrets of Thorn Hill will Emma and Jonah uncover, knowing events like the Thorn Hill Massacre may happen again?

Review

This book was the first in the series to end on a cliffhanger. I also like how we see both Emma's and Jonah's points of view with every other chapter, while keeping the story's pace. This time the world became darker, with dying children, souls controlling corpses, and torment. I honestly can't wait for the final book to find out how this mystery ends. If you read the first 3 books, this story is a bit different, but you won't want to miss it.
