The Girl on the Dock- Book Review

Don't let the title of this book deceive you this is known as James Potter 2.5. The story is a side story of the series and takes place during the summer between Curse of the Gatekeeper and Vault of Destinies. As this is a side story and has little to no reference to the Harry Potter series, this is the one book of the series they can actually sell and publish.
The Plot
After Petra's final year at school she finds herself at the home of her grandfather, unsure what to do with her life. She is torn between knowing she made the right choice and regretting it in her attempt to kill. The only reason she stays is to take care of her step-sister and protect her from her mother. As the summer goes on and things get harder, Petra may have a chance to reverse her choice and this time there will be no one to stop her, or save her.
My Review
I liked this short story, but there isn't much to offer if you haven't read the first 2 James Potter novels. The story tries to neatly remove anything related to the world of Harry Potter, but you can still see the seams. If you liked the first 2 James Potter series I'd recommend paying the $0.99 for this side story on ebook, to support the author and his work.
