We now go back to the Magical World of Harry Potter for the second year of Hogwarts. I also find this year to be fitting to review for Fall due to magic, witchcraft, and monsters. Let's take a look at Harry's return to Hogwarts.

Despite Dobby's warning, Harry returns to Hogwarts to another year filled with adventure and danger. He discovers the school's dark past and the events are repeating themselves when the Chamber of Secrets is opened.

You are Harry as he confronts his 2nd year, from going to classes, to learning spells and collecting items like the Wizard Cards. You can as if the previous year, explore the castle freely and do things at your own pace. To learn spells, you must complete the classroom challenge and use those spells to enter more areas of the game and complete story events.

I liked this game as much as the first Harry Potter GameCube game. Unfortunately, couldn't find all of the wizard cards in the game unlike the last time. I probably could if I used a guide or walk through, but I try not to resort to that. The last 2 bosses were kind of difficult to figure out how to beat them, but that's to be expected. The magical world still shines through and the Quidditch matches are even better not to mention you get to play against all 3 houses this time. Despite the ups and downs, this is a great game to have if you're a Harry Potter fan.

It's that time of year again to review things Harry Potter. I'm sorry I'm starting a bit late this year but rest assured, I will still be reviewing a great deal of content as I plan to review all 4 GameCube games based off the movies plus Harry Potter Quidditch Cup(switching off between this series and Pokemon due to timing).

I grew up playing years 1 and 2 on the PC, but for obvious reasons I can't play them. When I first got a Wii later, I did end up starting on the GameCube series that I remember fondly. So let's get started on Year 1.

You are Harry Potter experiencing your 1st year of Hogwarts. After just discovering you are a wizard though this won't be a peaceful year.

This is an adventure exploration game. You can freely explore the castle and grounds for hidden items such as wizard cards, Bertie Botts Every Flavor Beans and missing items from students. Use spells to solve puzzles and reveal more locations. Each class has a spell challenge when you learn a new spell, that is like a dungeon you must get through to pass your class. It's not easy being the Boy who Lived.

I loved this entry of the Game Cube series. Hogwarts is fleshed, out with students to talk and trade with, every floor of the castle has places to explore not to mention the spacious grounds where you can even fly your broom. This game shows what it's like to be Harry living through the events of the book and films. If you are looking for a great video game based on Harry Potter, this won't be less than magical.
